Logisfashion expands operations in Latin America
The international group Logisfashion, logistics operator leader in textile and fashion, expands its logistics center in Mexico City, which will have 6,000 additional square meters.
October 2014- In its commitment to internationalization and to meet growing demand, Logisfashion has expanded one of its logistics centers in Latin America with over 14,000 square meters. This center, located in Cuautitlan, State of Mexico, manages logistics operations for 26 customers, with more than 10 million garments a year. After this increase, in these facilities Logisfashion will conduct e-commerce services, warehouse, added values and inventory management.
With this operation, the group has more than 100,000 square meters distributed in the following own logistics centers: Chile, Mexico, three centers in China and two centers in Spain. In its forecasts, the company plans to continue its international expansion and does not rule out the acquisition of a new center in Colombia. As Juan Manzanedo, Logisfashion CEO, says "increasingly, companies seek for internationalization, which is one of the pillars of our company”.
He also adds "the fashion industry is constantly changing and we have to adapt quickly to its needs. Just a few years ago there was a boom in China, where we already have three centers, now demand focuses on the area of Latin America. We also plan to expand the facilities of Santa María de Palautordera, in Spain, in the coming months”.
In an effort to provide added value services for the customer, in addition to the internationalization and investment in advanced technology, a few months ago Logisfashion established at its facility in Cabanillas del Campo, a Customs Warehouse (DA & DDA). This allows maximum flexibility for imports and exports, and advantages such as imports from non-EU countries under suspension of taxes, the possibility of return or destruction of erroneous or damaged goods avoiding to pay taxes or make arrangements to buy / sell without having to pay VAT at the time of purchase nor when receiving the goods.
Logisfashion is the first logistics operator specializing in textile and fashion in Spain. Logisfashion was created in October 1996 in order to meet a latent need in the Spanish logistics spectrum. Currently it has 7 logistics centers 100%equipped for handling and textile distribution sites in Santa Maria de Palautordera (Barcelona, Spain), Cabanillas del Campo (Guadalajara, Spain), Santiago (Chile), Cuautitlan Izcalli, State of Mexico (Mexico), Shanghai, Hong Kong and Shenzhen (China). They have more than 100,000 square meters and a total capacity of storage of more than 30,000,000 items.
Logisfashion service covers all the needs of the supply chain for fashion brands.
