We unveil a second logistics hub in the Panama Free Trade Zone

We are pleased to announce the opening of a new logistics hub in Panama, with the aim of enhancing our operational capacity on an international scale. A facility located in the Cocosolito industrial estate in the Colon Free Trade Zone, remarkably close to our operational hubs in the country, which boasts a surface area of 16,600 square meters, making it Logisfashion’s second largest in the region. It is spread over two operational plants, featuring two belts for both lifting and loading equipped with start-of-the-art technology.

With this distribution hub, thanks to the special conditions offered in the Colon Free Trade zone, offers an array of fiscal benefits for clients and operates as cross-border hub for the region. In this way, it allows us to ready orders for the non-nationalized stock for distribution to stores and other distributers in Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

Through this strategic expansion venture, at Logisfashion we now boast a total of 39,100 square meters in terms of operational capacity, spread over the 4 hubs located in the region.

In the words of Diego Larrañaga, Managing Director of Supply Chain at Logisfashion “the opening of this new hub in Panama represents a new milestone in terms of growth and bolsters Logisfashion’s standing in the region since our first appearance here in 2015. Our goal is to continue to offer flexible logistics solutions that adapt to our clients’ needs, while also strengthening our position as logistics specialists in Latin America.”

Panama, a strategic hub

Thanks to its key geographical position, Panama has become an important strategic axis for logistics connectivity in Latin America, as well as a hub of global trade with significant links to the United States and Europe. Likewise, economic growth boosted in the region along with financial soundness, its legal guarantees and its stability facilitate international trade and investment.

With the opening of this new hub, our value proposal throughout the entire supply chain is both increased and bolstered, thereby providing a response to the upsurge in operations performed through the Panama online channel.

“We are convinced that this hub will not only allow us to offer our clients new possibilities, moreover and furthermore it will drive us towards new growth opportunities”  according toLarrañaga
