2023 Watch out! Because 2022 left the bar too high in logisfashion

This year 2022 started very strongly… We announced that we had reached 100 million in turnover during 2021! A figure that far exceeded our expectations (which we established at 84 million euros) and that meant an increase of 55% in turnover with respect to the previous year. So, as we like challenges, we decided to propose a more ambitious figure for this year: 126 million euros. Will we get it?

To this end, we have continued working in all our business areas to continue innovating and increasing our expertise in order to offer a better service to our clients. This is the case of customs of international transportation, where we have a unique team of professionals, who provide the necessary advice on foreign trade and the new customs and tariff rules to carry out the foreign trade of any company, especially for the most offshore ones.  And we continue to progress with new logistics solutions to offer a comprehensive value proposal and with new solutions such as the one announced for Marketplaces, which will allow our clients to integrate sellers not only from Latin America, but also from Europe, China, the United States, etc., into their sales catalogue.

With the focus on management, we launched our internal restructuring plan, both at the corporate level and in the other subsidiaries, to strengthen leadership. A movement framed in our Strategic Plan, with which we encourage the promotion and consolidation of talent and continuous training through different projects such as the high-performance HIPO Plan. Thus, in our Management Team Diego Larranaga has been promoted to the corporate area with the position of Deputy General Director and Regional EMEA. Mar Rojo has been promoted from Business Developer Latam to Chief Commercial Officer; and Alvaro Los Arcos, has moved from being Head of E-commerce into the Chief Business Developer Manager role. As for the most important subsidiary, in Spain, José Manuel Sinova was promoted as Country Manager of Logisfashion Spain, and Operations Management and Technical Office Management of Spain were given to David Fernández and Lluis Alarcón, among other appointments.

It is clear that people are the fundamental pillar for Logisfashion, that’s why we kicked off our Equality Plan for the personal growth of our team, an initiative that promotes a respectful work environment and keeps in mind equal opportunities for all people without discriminating on the basis of nationality, gender, sexual, political and religious orientation, or any other condition. Our team is what makes us unique. And this has been our tribute to thank them for their work every day at Logisfashion:

To promote this collaborative culture we have carried out many activities throughout the year at Logisfashion, such as our super fun ‘Employee Day’, with a multitude of participating teams; our breakfasts with the management or ‘Family Days’ like the latest ‘Back to School Day’, among many others. Also, our Logisfashion 2022 International Summit, where all our business and corporate directors met to present the 2021 reports and jointly prepare the strategic lines that are marking our activity and our expansion for the upcoming years.

And we don’t just care about the people on our team. Also those that are part of the communities where we are present. Therefore, we have collaborated with Aprenem Autisme for another year in order to remember that people with autism are citizens in their own right And with APANAS Toledo in labour inclusion for people with Intellectual Disabilities, allowing us to incorporate, train and facilitate access to a job for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities belonging to this organisation, with the aim of advancing their social and labour inclusion. Or our collaboration with Accem and its socio-labour insertion project ‘Savia Nueva’, thanks to which we have had the opportunity to incorporate several Ukrainian refugees into our staff in Guadalajara and Cabanillas.

In fact, Apanas Toledo awarded us an honourable mention in the ‘X Family Day’, in recognition of our firm commitment to the integration and labour insertion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. And we were finalists in the CLOUD & ARCHITECTURE category of the Cionet-Vocento Awards 2022.

During the summer sales campaign, forecasts pointed to a 24% increase in the number of orders. These data bolster e-commerce’s positioning as the main purchasing channel. At Logisfashion we are preparing for this strong growth to manage more than 5.3 million products that make up 1.5 million e-commerce orders. For one year more, we were able to successfully cope with the high demand of Black Friday, which exceeded the forecasts that pointed to a 32% increase in orders. In Mexico, we also exceeded expectations for the Buen Fin de México sales, for which a 57% increase in sales was expected.

To face these challenges we have a robust technology, one of our great pillars, so we continue to equip ourselves with the latest developments in the market, such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, Big Data and… robots. Our priority is to create solid projects, based on data that optimises each process, share good practices, and maintain the safety standards and commitment we have with our clients. Innovation and technology are so important to us that this 2022 the investment was 3.9 million euros in R&D&I, more than 3% of our turnover.

In Latam, we started to operate at TEPOZ 1, a new premium logistics center in Mexico. A site that was opened in June located inside the green Convento City Park, a premium area located in Tepotzotlán, strategically positioned in the submarket of greatest industrial activity in Mexico and remarkably close to the metropolitan area of Mexico City. The site’s outstanding characteristics are the facilities’ extension of 30 thousand m2, its innovative technological equipment and the extraordinary potential for growth regarding the needs of current and future brands, since it offers the possibility of streamlining the Layout and its redesign of processes in order to cover peak demand periods and address many other facets, to successfully tackle the sector’s continuous flows.

It has also been the year for our subsidiary in Chile,  where we already have 4 centres and new clients such as Falabella, Oneill, and Bestseller, among others, and a great project for the construction of a new centre in 2023 to accommodate new clients. A very consolidated subsidiary thanks to our commitment to innovation and cutting-edge technological tools, in order to offer our clients the traceability and visibility of their operations thanks to omnichannel solutions so that retailers and brands reach their customers with a high-quality, fast and effective service.

In September we announced the appointment of Sergio Daza as Country Manager of Panama, which strengthens the second most important subsidiary of the Logisfashion group, which is consolidated as the most prominent hub for Latin America. Daza has already been a part of the Logisfashion team since 2020 as Country Manager in Colombia, a position he retains. With this appointment we continue on the path of growth and progress in our strategic plan, which proposes to reach 150 million euros in turnover in 2023 (indeed, we are not satisfied with the 126 million proposed for 2022).

This year has also been one of growth for our subsidiary in Uruguay, where we quickly opened market for one of the largest Spanish fashion retailers and which has been joined by new brands that have opted for our operations in this country.

We have been in Colombia for 7 years now, a country with a very rich textile and fashion industry, where we have a strong commitment to security in the supply chain, since we are accredited with the prestigious BASC Certification, which promotes Safe International Trade.

We do not want to miss the opportunity to take advantage here to thank our clients for their trust. And also those who this year have decided to place their trust in us: Alberto Palatchi, Charo Ruiz, Reebok, Lens, ECCO Shoes, Lurdes Bergada, Terpel, Fexpro Panama, FLUCHOS, Agua Cristalina, EVERFIT, Lens México, Activition Blizzard, FIFA, Gerber Childrenwear, Dropi, O’Neill, Charo Ruiz, Prune, Republic Cosmetic, Storeon and Giorgio Armani, among many others.

We want to thank you for your commitment, your commitment to high-quality logistics and your trust in us. It is that trust that leads us to continue striving to be able to offer you the very best. The logistics are great and we will continue to prove it in 2023! Merry Christmas and best wishes for the upcoming year. We’ll keep growing!
